Individuals carrying two suitcases full of Ethiopian Birr were arrested by police
Police in Humera town have arrested two men who were carrying two suitcases full of Ethiopian Birr. The amount seized was 5,24,700, all of which were newly converted notes. Of these, 4 million 999,600 birr is two hundred birr notes and the rest are one hundred and fifty notes.
On November 19, 2013, two men were carrying two suitcases on a three-wheeler (Bajaj) in the peaceful town of Humera during a search of the situation.
According to the Amhara Police Commission, the arrested individuals promised to give him one bag full of money to the police to leave them. By being genuine for his profession, the police denied and arrest them. He noted that both suspects are currently under investigation.
